DRIVING

The Rocky Mountain Horse Association hosts just one major show event every year.

The International Grand Championships are held annually during the first week of September at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. WESTERN

RMH are ideal for western pleasure riding. They also compete in many other western disciplines for which they can earn points on the RMHA Versatility program.

Rocky Mountain Horses are amazingly versatile horses, they can compete in almost any event and excel in many. The RMHA runs a Versatility Program that features: show jumping, dressage, cross country, extreme cowboy, trail obstacle, trail mileage, team penning, western reining, mounted shooting, equitation, fox hunt/hunter pace ride, driving, drill team, pole bending, barrel racing, ride and tie, equithon, endurance, parade, side saddle, working equitation, and liberty amongst other activities.
